Gabriel Okonkwo (Chief Operating Officer)

Gabriel is an alumnus of the University of Lagos where he read Business Administration. He was a seasoned banker with vast experience in Operations, Inspections, Internal Audit and Project Management.

While in banking, he served as a member of the MICR Technical Implementation Committee and was the Chairman of the Sub-Committee that produced the Interim Cheque Standard. Mr. Okonkwo also participated in the implementation of the Nigeria Cheque Standard Accreditation and the Nigeria Cheque Printers Accreditation Scheme (NICPAS) for cheque printers’ accreditation.

Gabriel joined Superflux in 2007 and Head, Business Development in charge of Cheque Outsourcing services and Cheque Fraud detection and Prevention training. He is presently the COO (Chief Operating Officer) before his appointment he was the Divisional Head, Sales and Marketing of all Superflux products and Services leading a team of over 15 highly trained and customer focused professionals.

Gabriel has attended various international training programmes on cheque production and document security. He has in the last seven years conducted training for several banks on cheque fraud detection & prevention and more recently the Cheque Truncation Operations. He leads the team that conducts forensic analysis on fraud documents for financial and government institutions.

Mahendra Waman (Divisional Head, Operations & IT)

Mahendra is an Industrial Electronics Engineer from Mumbai University and has PG Diploma in Computers and MBA in E-Business. He is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 27001 which entails IT security. He has 17 years of diverse experience and he has provided technical and operations leadership in challenging situations for 10 years.

Mahendra is a dynamic and seasoned techno-commercial person with strong track record and has in depth knowledge of business processes. He utilizes process oriented approach to drive organizational improvements and implementation of best industry practices. He has experience in IT enabled services, high volume variable data printing, plastic cards manufacturing and personalization, security printing etc. Additionally he specializes in Project Management and has executed many complex projects during his career.

He joined Superflux Group in February 2008 and has worked in different capacities. He is the Divisional Head Operations in charge of all production and production support departments.

Gbemi Laditan (Group CFO)

A professionally qualified chartered accountant with over twenty-eight years experience in financial control, consultancy, management accounting, taxation, operations, corporate finance, private equity, SME capacity building, marketing, credit and auditing. She possesses proven abilities in defining organizational direction, instituting corporate governance, achieving targets and systems optimization. As a strategic thinker, she thrives in situations that require turn around management or significant improvements.

Trained by the prestigious firm of Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co, Mrs Laditan qualified as a chartered accountant in 1988 and later went on to establish a career in banking spanning twenty-four years with her last position being with United Bank for Africa Plc as a member of general management.

Mrs. Laditan has held Board level positions in various companies including; UBA Private Equity Limited (MD/CEO), Abuja Leasing Company Limited, Lekky Budget Hotels Limited, MP Budget Limited, Sundry Foods Limited, Omonefe Foods Limited and Beachgate Hotels Limited. She is a fellow of the institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (CITN); a member of the Financial Reporting Council and a holder of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Diploma of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

She has to her credit several academic and professional distinctions including:

  • Obtaining the highest score in Nigeria at the ACCA IFRS Diploma examination in 2014
  • ICANs 2nd Best Overall Merit Award in1988 final professional exams
  • Society of Women Accountants in Nigeria, Best Female Accountant Award in 1988
  • Federal Government of Nigeria, talented student award in 1987

She graduated from the Federal polytechnic Ado-Ekiti in 1987 with an HND (upper credit) in accountancy. She is an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife where she obtained an MBA in 2001.

Folake Akindele(Group Head: Marketing)

Folake holds a Second Class Upper degree in Agric-Economics from University of Ibadan. She is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife where she obtained an MBA degree with specialization in General Management.

She has over 11 years experience in banking industry. While in banking industry, she worked with Zenith Bank plc, National Bank Limited, Wema Bank plc, Ecobank plc and was at a time the Managing Director of GTI microfinance Bank. Her banking experience covers branch management, business development, credit & marketing.

She joined Superflux in March 2011 as Group Head, Secure Print Marketing with key responsibility for business development in secure documents marketing, liaising with Banks, Registrars and Educational Institutions. In July 2014 she was appointed the Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications.
