SUPERFLUX HOSTS LBS AMP STUDENTS

On the 26th of January 2017, students of the Lagos Business School Advanced Management Program (AMP) were hosted on Superflux premises. The event which holds annually is organized to enable the students experience the operations in a production centered organisation.

They were received by the management team of the Superflux Group led by the COO, Mr. Gabriel Okonkwo. He took the students through a concise presentation on the history and various business operations of Superflux Group traversing the print industry, logistics, agro-allied and FMCG. Superflux International, the parent company is the leading security print services provider serving up to 90% of the banks and other financial institutions in the country. He also talked briefly on the various operations of the subsidiaries, Courierplus, Fluxlogistix and Atco. The students were thereafter taken on a tour of the factory facilities where they observed some production processes.

The tour was followed by a very open and engaging session. The students commended the operations and business model of Superflux Group. They also made suggestions on areas that should be given closer attention. One of the students commended the way Superflux has positioned itself as an industry leader. Another student also commended in these words, ?what we saw exceeded our expectations?. Still, another commended the quality of the staff that he described as intelligent with excellent knowledge of their various operations and processes related to their functions in the business. He added that they readily backed up answers to questions raised with relevant data and that Superflux has stood the test of time in a highly specialized industry.

In his closing remarks, the president/CEO Mr. Tokunbo Talabi shared some of the challenges the organisation had encountered and how it has become the stronger for it. He attributed the leadership position of the organisation to having good processes and human capital in place.

Dr. Okechukwu Amah the program director, expressed appreciation for the opportunity given to the class to experience firsthand the operations of a high-tech printing organisation which hitherto they were not aware existed.
